Susanne Wittpennig

Susanne Wittpennig (born May 11, 1972 in Basel ) is a Swiss writer .

Life

Wittpennig is the oldest child of a keeper in Basel Zoo . Her brother was born two years after her, with whom she made up many stories and later wrote them down. At the age of eight, however, he had a fatal accident. After primary school , she attended Progymnasium . Then she shortened her education with the diploma middle school. Finally, she completed a four-year apprenticeship as a pharmacist and gained professional experience in the laboratory and at the airport. On the side she wrote novels and dealt with computer graphics . In May 2000 she started her career as a web designer in a web agency . In September 2004 her first novel Maya and Domenico was published by Brunnen Verlag Basel . Two years later, in September 2006, the second part followed. The ninth and final volume by Maya and Domenico was published in autumn 2014.
