Sushumna

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In Kundalini Yoga and Tantra, Sushumna describes a nadi (energy pathway) of the human body. This energy pathway should roughly follow the spine and begin at its lower end and end at the upper end.

In the tantric system of energy channels, the sushumna represents the middle channel, the central channel through which the Kundalini rises through all chakras (that is, according to Tantra, the energy centers along the spine).
