Susi-Käynty Latvainen

Susi-Käynty Latvainen (* 1965 ) is a Finnish composer .

Life

He is one of the Finnish composers of new music such as Jarmo Sermilä , Perttu Haapanen , Atso Almila and Eero Hämeenniemi . His compositional style is strongly influenced by the works of Helmut Lachenmann , among other things . A long-standing friendship connects him with the horn player Wolfgang Wipfler, at whose suggestion his two previous works for horn solo "Sointi Puhe" and "Kadonnut Kotimaa" were created. The latter was premiered in the German competition Jugend musiziert 2009.

He lives today (2013) near Puumala in southeastern Finland.
