Susi Dorée , actually Inge Schaal , née Inge Ködel , (born October 13, 1941 in Berlin ) is a German pop singer.

Life

At the age of nine, Susi Dorée became a member of the well-known Berlin Mozart Choir , which made major concert tours through Germany and neighboring countries several times a year. She got into the hit scene through talent competitions. Radio and TV appearances and a lot of studio work followed, which from today's perspective offers a musical review of the epochs of the hit world of the past decades, more precisely the 1950s to 1980s.

At the beginning of the 1960s she met the band “Blue Cellar Combo”, with whom she was an established institution in “Riverboat Berlin”, at that time one of the largest youth dance locations in Europe.

As a well-known title of the 1960s, Before the Door Is Not Kissed was not only played in hit parades, but also found its place in the soundtrack of the film Drops on Hot Stones by François Ozon .

In addition to the first German version of The Loco-Motion , originally by the American singer Little Eva , she released other hits such as I go without , Speak not of your love , In Java and Hawaii and Okay Bambino . In the 1970s, Susi Dorée was active with many cover productions.
