The Suzhou Museum ( Chinese  蘇州 博物館  /  苏州 博物馆 , Pinyin Sūzhōu Bówùguǎn ) is one of the 1st class state museums in China and houses a valuable collection of local works of art in one of the most important gardens in Suzhou . Many of them are worth the trip on their own, like the archaeological excavations of the Two Pagodas , a series of masterpieces from the local painting school for around 700 years.

The spectrum of the exhibition ranges from Buddhist shrines to calligraphy and painting to ivory and ceramics.

A special feature of the museum is its new wing, which is designed by the architect Ieoh Ming Pei for his homeland.
