Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak
The Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak is one specifically for the hill climb Pikes Peak International Hill Climb , also known as Race To The Clouds , advanced racing cars , not least through its high performance, achieved from relatively little displacement , stands out. The name Escudo is derived from Portuguese and means shield when translated.
The car was driven at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in 1996 by Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima , a tuning shop owner, rally driver and team manager.
The Suzuki Escudo (produced in North America as Sidekick until 1999, known in Europe, the Philippines and Australia as Vitara ) is a so-called Sport Utility Vehicle in its “civil” series version and has been in production since 1989.
