The XL7 Hill Climb Special at the 2007 record run

The Suzuki XL7 Hill Climb Special is a racing vehicle designed for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb . Its silhouette is similar to that of the Suzuki XL7 car built for the US market from 2007 to 2009 .

Races

Used for the first time in this hill climb in 2006, Nobuhiro Tajima won the race. Due to heavy snowfall at the summit, however, the route had to be shortened by a third and no valid record time could be set.

This was achieved in 2007 and Rod Millen's record of 10:04:06 from 1994 was undercut by almost three seconds with a time of 10:01:408.
