Sven Kesselring

Sven Kesselring (* 1966 ) is a German sociologist who deals with the connection between mobility, technology and, in particular, the digitization of everyday professional and private life. In 2015, he was appointed to a professorship for sustainable mobility at the Nürtingen-Geislingen University of Economics and Environment (HfWU) sponsored by the Kreissparkasse Göppingen.

Life

Sven Kesselring studied sociology, political science and social psychology at the Philipps University in Marburg and the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and obtained his doctorate in 2001 under Ulrich Beck. His habilitation at the Technical University of Munich in 2012 was entitled The mobile risk society .

In 2004 he founded the Cosmobilities Network , represents it as a spokesperson and coordinates the network's activities together with Malene Freudendal-Pedersen from Aalborg University and a management team.
