Sven Loll

Sven Loll (born April 4, 1964 in Berlin ) is a former German judoka .

Loll grew up opposite the sports hall where the judoka from Dynamo Adlershof trained. Loll began judo himself when he was seven. In 1977 and 1979 he won the Children's and Youth Partakiad . In 1983 and 1984 he was second at the European Junior Championships. In 1988 he was second in the lightweight for the GDR at the Olympic Games in Seoul . In the final he lost against the French Marc Alexandre by a coca rating. For winning the silver medal, Loll was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in silver.

In 1987 Loll took 3rd place at the European Championships, and in 1988 he became vice European champion. In 1987, 1989 and 1990 he won the GDR championship; In 1991 he became German champion after the reunification. In 1992 he lost to Marko Spittka in the final of the German championship . Sven Loll's coach was Dietmar Hötger .
