Swana Rode

Swana Rode (* 1991 ) is a German actress .

Growing up in Oberursel near Frankfurt am Main , Swana Rode appeared in numerous productions at The English Theater Frankfurt (including Polly in the Threepenny Opera ) and at the Junge Schauspiel Frankfurt (Rich in Dirty Rich ) in her youth . During her school days she won several prizes in the field of singing at Jugend musiziert . She also took lessons from Dr. Hochs Conservatory in Frankfurt.

She studied acting in Hamburg from 2012 to 2015 and already played during her training at the Thalia Theater in The Three Musketeers , on Kampnagel ( Flyrt Society ), at the St. Pauli Theater ( Der Schimmelreiter ) and in various study projects ( The commission from Heiner Müller ). In 2015 she was the Kirke in der Odysee at the Lichthoftheater Hamburg . She also played this role in 2016 at the Junge Staatstheater Karlsruhe, where she has been a permanent member of the ensemble since the 2016/17 season. There she was, among other things, the Lillebror in Karlsson vom Dach and played in Two in the Dark . Swana Rode played Olga in Oblomov at the Volksbühne Berlin . From the 2018/19 season she will switch to the acting ensemble of the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe . In the opening performance of Nora, Hedda and their sisters , the interlocking trilogy of three Henrik Ibsen pieces by Anna Bergmann , Swana Rode plays the double role of Christine Linde (from Nora, a doll's house ) and Hilde Wangel ( The Woman from the Sea ).
