Swiss NPO code

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Swiss NPO Code is an agreement of the Conference of Presidents of Large Aid Organizations in Switzerland (KPGH). It contains corporate governance guidelines for non-profit organizations (NPO) in Switzerland .

The Swiss NPO Code was created on March 31, 2006. ProFonds was involved as an expert in drawing up the Swiss NPO Code . An association of the same name was founded in 2008 as a sponsoring association to which all major Swiss aid organizations belong. The Zewo Foundation was entrusted with the certification and testing of aid organizations for compliance with the Swiss NPO Code . A fundamental revision of the Swiss NPO Code took place in 2016. The 21 Zewo standards were defined there; these contain the most important indispensable principles of the Swiss NPO code. With this extension it was decided not to further certify the original rules of the Swiss NPO Code.

The president of the Swiss NPO-Code has been Mariangela Wallimann-Bornatico since 2016 , who also heads Caritas Switzerland in the same position .
