Sybille Wiedenmann

Sybille Wiedenmann (born May 28, 1966 in Weilheim in Upper Bavaria ) is a former German basketball player .

career

Wiedenmann took part in the European Championship in the U16 age range in 1982 and in the U18 in 1983. At the Junior European Championships in Italy in 1983  , she was the second best scorer of the German selection with 9.4 points per game. She played 75 A-internationals between July 1985 and July 1991, her best performance was 16 points, which she scored in a European Championship elimination match against Israel in September 1987. At club level, Wiedenmann played for TSV 1847 Weilheim, and was part of the Bundesliga squad until 1993. Professionally, she worked in the tourism sector.

In 2018 she became European champion in the age group over 50, in 2013 she won the gold medal in the senior world championship in the competition class over 45 and in 2019 in the over 50. At the federal level, Wiedenmann won the German over 50 championship with SG Munich in 2018.
