Sychaeus
In the founding legend of Carthage, Sychaeus was the husband of Dido and high priest of the Phoenician city of Tire (lat. Tire). According to legend, he was murdered by Dido's brother Pygmalion , king of Tire, whereupon Dido fled to Carthage.
