Museum concept

The museum tries to involve visitors, for example voices from those who survived the Holocaust are played. Visitors are also introduced and instructed in the way of life and faith of the Jews. The Sydney Jewish Museum also shows the lives of 16 Jewish families in the early days of European settlement who arrived on the continent of Australia with the First Fleet . Visitors are guided in a virtual journey from the beginning of the settlement to the year 1840.

The main concern of the museum is to show the history of the Holocaust . This takes place in an exhibition with video presentations, newspaper clippings, pictures, stories, letters and oral reports. There are also guided tours by Olga Horak , a survivor of the Holocaust.
