Sydney Turing Barlow Lawford

Sir Sydney Turing Barlow Lawford (born November 16, 1865 in Tunbridge Wells , † February 15, 1953 in California ) was a British officer.

During the First World War he was commander of the 41st Division of the New Army and was knighted for his services on January 1, 1918 as Knight Commander of the Order of the Bath (KCB).

Lawford was last lieutenant general in the British Army.

Lawford was the father of actor Peter Lawford .
