Sylvia Günthner (born December 19, 1988 in Stuttgart ) is a German film producer .

Life

Sylvia Günthner founded the company " Mirror Maze - Filmproduktion" based in Stuttgart in 2009 with her fellow students at the Lazi Academy Esslingen - the European School of Film and Design - Lucien Förstner and Steven Weber . The founding of the company was also the cornerstone for the feature film production Bela Kiss: Prologue .

Since 2006 she has worked on various short and advertising film productions and has received several awards for this. She was able to gain further artistic experience at the Stuttgart State Opera , where she was a member of the Young Opera ensemble for several productions.

Your commercial “Anti-AIDS Trailer” was voted one of the top 5 best young productions at the Spotlight Festival 2009, after which it was shown at the Court Métrage - Festival de Cannes at the Cannes International Film Festival. Sylvia Günthner's first feature film, Bela Kiss: Prologue , was launched in German cinemas nationwide on January 10, 2013 and was available in stores on November 29, 2013 as Blu-Ray and DVD. The film was sold in different countries around the world. On December 3, 2013, Bela Kiss: Prologue launched in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

Since January 2013 she has been part of the New German Genre Film movement , in which many young German filmmakers have grouped themselves, with the desire and claim to establish the genres of horror, thriller and science fiction in Germany.
