Symaithis
Symaithis ( ancient Greek Συμαιθίς , Latinized Symaethis ) is a naiad of Greek mythology .
It appears in the Metamorphoses of Ovid , the daughter of the river god Symaithos , the river god of the eponymous river in Sicily , probably of today Simeto . From Faunus she is the mother of Acis .
