The synagogue in Trondheim , a town in the Trøndelag province in Norway , was built in 1925. The synagogue stands on the banks of the Nidelva .

The Jewish community in Trondheim, which was officially founded in 1905, had a former station building converted into a synagogue.

The German occupiers in World War II destroyed the interior of the synagogue and used it as a stable .

In 1947 the restored synagogue was consecrated again. In 1977 a Jewish museum was established there.
