Neuromorphing
The Neuromorphing is a method to monitor the functioning of neurons replicate. For this purpose, special electronic circuits - based on neuristors - are developed, because the simulation of a neuron in hardware works faster than the emulation of a neuron using software . A VLSI design is used to simulate the neurons using CMOS technology.
The aim of neuromorphing is the simulation and reproduction of sensory organs (especially those of humans) such as the inner ear , the retina of the eye and even parts of the brain . In the long term, this should enable implants to replace the corresponding organs or parts of organs as best as possible. Another goal is to research applications that are also intended to supplement existing computer technology with new solutions - for example for pattern and object recognition .

In neuromorphing, a distinction is made between neuroinformatics , which deals with the mathematical models, and neuromorphic engineering , which deals with the simulation of the implementation in hardware.
