Synsarcosis

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Synsarcosis (from the Greek syn 'together', sarx, genitive: sarkos 'meat') describes a connection of bones by skeletal muscles in anatomy . In mammals , the shoulder blade is synsarcotically connected to the chest . In some mammals, the collarbone is also embedded in a muscle ( musculus brachiocephalicus ) and only connects to the rest of the skeleton through this.
