Systematized Nomenclature of Pathology

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Systematized Nomenclature of Pathology (SNOP) is a nomenclature for the medical field. SNOP was developed by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) in the late 1950s and first published in 1965. A German translation of the SNOP by F. Wingert and P. Graepel appeared in 1975.

SNOP is best known as the forerunner of SNOMED and is no longer in use.
