TÜViT offers the evaluation, testing and certification of IT processes, IT systems and IT products, etc. a. according to Common Criteria (ISO 15408) and ITSEC . Furthermore, the TÜViT is a confirmation body according to SigG / SigV for the confirmation of products for qualified electronic signatures . The company is the first German test center to be accredited by NIST / NVLAP (NVLAP Lab Code: 200636-0) for testing according to FIPS 140-1 and 140-2 and for testing FIPS-approved cryptographic algorithms.
history
In 1990 the Institute for Information Technology (IIT) of the Rheinisch-Westfälischer Technisches Monitoringverein was founded.
In 1996, the IIT acquired its independence as TÜV Informationstechnik GmbH as a subsidiary of RWTÜV.
Since the merger of TÜV Nord and RWTÜV in 2004, TÜViT has been part of the new TÜV Nord Group .
