Tanassilma

Tänassilma (German Tennasilm ) is a village ( Estonian küla ) in Viljandi County in Estonia . It belongs to the rural municipality of Viiratsi . Tänassilma has 160 inhabitants. The place is located between the Tänassilma River and the road between Tartu and Viljandi , about 15 km east of Viljandi.

In Tänassilma there is a community hall, a primary school and a post office. Tänassilma is best known for its former Orthodox church. Despite some renovation work since the 1980s, the historic building is in poor condition today and stands empty.
