The Tännforsen waterfall is one of the most powerful waterfalls in Sweden . It is located 22 kilometers northwest of the village of Åre on the upper reaches of the Åreälven river , where the river forms several lakes. Lake Tännsjön flows over Tännfors into Lake Östra Noren, 37 meters below. The area around the waterfall is a nature reserve and easily accessible.
