Tasen

The Tasen ( Russian : тазы ) are an indigenous people of the Russian Far East . In the 2002 census, 276 residents registered as Tasen, 256 of them in the Primorye region . The Tasen ethnic group originated in the 19th century. The Tasian language is a Chinese dialect with strong lexical influences from the languages ​​of the Nanai and Udehe . In the 1880s it was spoken by 1,050 people, currently it is only used by members of the older generation.
