Hippos |
The lake tengrela is a lake in southwestern Burkina Faso , near Banfora . It is a local tourist attraction because of the hippos that live there . Since 2009 it has also been on the list of protected wetlands of the Ramsar Convention .
There are numerous floating plants on Lake Téngréla, including water lilies ( Nymphaea lotus , N. guineensis ), water jugs ( Nymphoides ezannoi ), water hazel ( Trapa bicornis ) and water hose ( Utricularia stellaris, etc.).
