Iyasu III.
Iyasu III. or Jesus III. († April 24, 1788 ) was from February 16, 1784 to April 24, 1788 Negus Negest ( Emperor ) of Ethiopia and a member of the Solomon dynasty . He was the son of Abeto Azequ and the grandson of Iyasu II.
Iyasu came to the throne thanks to Ras Abeto . His four-year reign was disrupted by feuds between Wolde Selassie , Ras Khalyu, and others. One of the governors deposed Iyasu, who died of smallpox shortly afterwards .
