The Tölke & Fischer Group first appeared in the commercial register in 1925 as the Krefeld repair company Hans Hofmann. The group of companies, which has 650 employees, is currently represented in Krefeld, Willich and Viersen with the brands VW, VW Commercial Vehicles, Škoda, Audi, Porsche, Volvo, Ford, Ford Commercial Vehicles and Kia. The Tölke & Fischer Group recently generated sales of 267 million euros.
history
In 1925, the Krefeld repair company Hans Hofmann was entered in the commercial register for the first time, seven years later Hans Hofmann took over the representation for the Audi and Wanderer brands of the Auto-Union in Krefeld.
In 1936 Heinrich Tölke and Ottmar Fischer bought the Hans Hofmann company and turned it into Tölke & Fischer. In 1939, Tölke & Fischer signed a workshop contract with Volkswagen for the first time, but before the contract could be fulfilled, the Second World War broke out.
After the end of the war in 1947, Tölke & Fischer became one of the first VW dealers in post-war Germany after the reconstruction in Krefeld. Three years later, the Porsche and VW Transporter brands were added to the Tölke & Fischer portfolio. In the same year, the headquarters that still exist today was built. In 1959 the capacities were no longer sufficient, and the decision was made to build a used car hall. In the following years there was an expansion of the range, which also included sports boats (until 1973) and caravans (until 1983). The growing range also meant that new locations had to be built.
In 1967 car dealerships were built in Krefeld-Hüls and Krefeld-Gartenstadt. This expansion continued in the years to come; This was followed by a new and used car center, a VW, an Audi and a Porsche dealership in Willich-Münchheide and locations in Süchteln and Dülken.
In 1998, Tölke & Fischer also built its own location for the Audi brand in Krefeld, and a new building was erected. In 2011, the Škoda brand was added. The last new building to date was opened in 2014, and the KIA brand was given its own location.
