Turkish Chapel (Ilmmünster)

Turkish chapel

The Turkish Chapel is a small path chapel in Ilmmünster . It was built in the 17th century about a kilometer outside the village on the road connecting to Scheyern . The building commemorates the siege of Vienna by Turkish soldiers in 1683.

The chapel is a simple round building. On top of it is a tent-shaped dome that ends with a cross.
