The Türkiye Komünist İşçi Partisi ( Turkish for Communist Workers' Party of Turkey , TKİP ) is a Turkish communist party .

TKIP is banned in Turkey. TKİP prisoners took part in a hunger strike in 2000. The TKİP publishes the following magazines: Ekim (October), Kızıl Bayrak (Red Flag), Ekim Gençliği (October Youth) and Kamu Emekçileri Bülteni (workers' bulletin ).

history

In 1988 the grouping Revolutionary Communist Party of Turkey / Leninists (Turkish: Türkiye Devrimci Komünist Partisi-Leninist Kanat TDKP / LK) split off from the grouping Revolutionary Communist Party of Turkey TDKP.

It later renamed itself to EKİM ( German : October).

November 1998 she renamed the EKİM to TKİP.
