Tāmaqusṭiyā was an Arabic unit of mass ( measure of weight). The Miṯqāl used here is the canonical in contrast to the other regional measures, such as the Damascus measure with 4.62 grams , the Egyptian measure with 4.68 grams, the Syrian measure with 4.427 grams and the Anatolian measure with 4.81 Gram.

  • 1 tāmaqusṭiyā = 2 tamara = 3 miṯqāl (1 st = 4.46 grams) = 13.38 grams
