TA Wegberg (* in Krefeld ) is a German writer , translator and freelance editor .

Life

TA Wegberg spent five years of high school at a Swiss boarding school. After graduating from high school, he studied German and English at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf as well as literature mediation and media practice at the University of Essen. Since 1994 he has been working as a translator and freelance editor for agencies and publishers in the entire German-speaking region. Since its literary debut in 2009, TA Wegberg has received numerous prizes, including the literary advancement prize of the Free German Authors' Association, the Brandenburg Literature Prize, the Eselsohr Book Prize, the Special Reading Hammer Prize and the Golden Leslie Prize for Young People. TA Wegberg lives in Berlin and teaches literary writing for various educational institutions. As a member of the jury in a wide variety of literary competitions, he is committed to promoting and publishing young or little-known writers, for whom he also offers a platform with his blog “Write as loud as you can”.

His novels and short stories deal with psychological borderline and crisis situations and how to cope with them. The main focus is on the reality of young adults and queer topics.
