In the 1950s and 1960s a new clubhouse, five new seats and today's Center Court were built on Parlerstrasse. In 1975, the club's women's team won the German team championship for the first time. The team was able to defend the title the following year. In the same year, the club's facility was expanded again. The tennis hall was the most modern in Germany at the time, especially due to its thermal insulation, underfloor heating and the preparation for solar heating and heat recovery from the groundwater.

The club's international tennis tournament has been operating as the Mercedes Cup since 1978. In 1979 the first women's team achieved their third German championship title. In 1989 the team was able to achieve the fourth and so far last title. In 1991 the team was able to move into the newly founded tennis league .

Today the first women's team plays in the 2nd Bundesliga.
