TM steel

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

TM steel refers to a micro-alloyed steel material that is manufactured using a thermomechanical process . In this rolling process , a final temperature is maintained in a certain range. Material properties are achieved that cannot be achieved with heat treatment alone . The process cannot be repeated. TM steels have high strength and toughness and, if only minor restrictions are observed, can be processed very well, especially welded . They allow constructions that meet high demands on aesthetics and economy.

The English name is "TMT steel" or "Thermo mechanically treated steel".
