The TM Forum (formerly Tele-Management Forum) is a working group of over 850 companies in the IT and telecommunications industry from more than 70 countries. The aim is to provide guidelines and solution concepts for improving the management and operation of information and communication networks ( network management ).
The TMForum was founded in 1988 by Amdahl, AT&T , British Telecom , Hewlett-Packard , Northern Telecom , Telecom Canada, STC and Unisys .
A central work program of the TMForum is the development of Frameworx - a standard for operational support systems .
