The TSC Grün-Weiß Braunschweig e. V. is a dance sport club in Braunschweig . The association has offers in the areas of tournament dance (individual and formation ), popular sports, circle dances and children's dances . The standard A formation of the club danced in the 1st Bundesliga Standard from 2016 to 2018.

history

The club was founded in 1976 as a dance group police. Initially, rooms were used in restaurants, including in the Grüner Jäger in the Braunschweig district of Riddagshausen . In 1980 the association rented rooms on the Voigtländer site that could be used for six years. In 1987 the club moved to its current training facility.

Formations

In 2013, a standard formation was founded in the club, which has competed in league competitions since the 2013/2014 season. Since the 2014/2015 season, the club has had two formations. A third team was added for the 2017/2018 season.

In 2018, the club withdrew the team from the 1st Bundesliga Standard because a full team could not be set up for the next season. A new team is to be formed together with members of the B team, which will then start in the Regional League North Standard next season.

Sebastian Bartels is the coach of the teams.

A-team

The A-Team (internal name "Team White") has been participating in league competitions since the 2013/2014 season. In the 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 seasons, the team managed to march through from the Regionalliga Nord to the 1st Bundesliga Standard.

The B-Team (internal name "Team Grün") started in the 2017/2018 season for the first time. The musical theme was "Female Voices".

C team

The C-Team started in the 2014/2015 season in the Regionalliga Nord Standard in league competitions. The team's musical theme was initially “May I ask?”. In the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 seasons, the team danced to the musical theme “Big Band Swing”. In the 2017/2018 season, a variation on the theme “May I ask?” Was danced.
