The TSC Schwarz-Gold Göttingen e. V. (complete: Tanzsportclub Schwarz-Gold e.V. in ASC von 1846 Göttingen e.V.) is a dance sport club in Göttingen , which belongs as a department to ASC Göttingen from 1846 . In addition to competition and formation dancing, the club also offers leisure and popular sports.

Standard formations

A-team

A-Team (season 2016/2017)

The A-team of TSC Schwarz-Gold Göttingen danced in the Regionalliga Nord Standard until 1998. In the 1997/1998 season it took first place in the Regionalliga Nord as well as first place in the promotion tournament and thus rose to the 2nd Bundesliga standard. In the first season in the 2nd Bundesliga, the team managed to reach second place in the table and move up to the 1st Bundesliga Standard.

In the following years the team danced standard in the 1st or 2nd Bundesliga:

  • 1999/2000: 1st Bundesliga, 8th place, relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga
  • 2000/2001: 2nd Bundesliga, 1st place, promotion to the 1st Bundesliga
  • 2001/2002: 1st Bundesliga, 7th place, relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga
  • 2002/2003: 2nd Bundesliga, 3rd place, promotion to the 1st Bundesliga after TSG Bremerhaven withdrew their Standard A-Team from the Bundesliga
  • 2003/2004: 1st Bundesliga, 8th place, relegation to 2nd Bundesliga

For the 2004/2005 season, the standard formation of TSC Schwarz-Gold Göttingen was transferred back to the Regionalliga North-West Standard upon request. There the team reached second place in the 2005/2006 season, but only finished sixth and last in the subsequent promotion tournament. In the next season, the team was then first in the Regionalliga Nord Standard and was also able to win the promotion tournament.

In the 2007/2008 season, the A-Team of TSC Schwarz-Gold Göttingen danced again in the 2nd Bundesliga Standard with the musical theme "Titanic" and achieved direct promotion to the 1st Bundesliga Standard with first place. Since then, the team has been dancing standard in the 1st Bundesliga. In the 2018/2019 season she took first place in the league and thus qualified for participation in the World Championship of Standard Formations in September 2019. Here, the team took third place. In the 2019/2020 season, the team won the German Championship and the 1st Bundesliga Standard.

The coaches of the A-team are Markus Zimmermann, Ariane Schießler, Peter Hahne and Marc Bieler.

B team

In the 1997/1998 season, the TSC Schwarz-Gold Göttingen joined the A-Team Standard with a B-Team, which also started in the Regionalliga Nord Standard. After three years in the Regionalliga Nord, the team took first place in the league in the 1999/2000 season. In the subsequent promotion tournament, the team finished fourth, so they stayed in the Regionalliga Nord.

For the 2001/2002 season, the North and West Regional Leagues were merged to form the North-West Regional League due to a lack of participation. This season, the B-Team of TSC Schwarz-Gold Göttingen finished last in the league (8th place). After that, the B-Team did not take part. The coach of the B team was Markus Zimmermann.

Since the 2007/2008 season, a B-Team has been competing for TSC Schwarz-Gold Göttingen again. In the Regionalliga Nord, the team danced a choreography on the musical theme of “Vienna” and, in the end, as in the 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 seasons, took second place in the league, making it eligible for participation in the promotion tournament 2nd Bundesliga qualified. In the 2010/2011 season, the team took first place in the Regionalliga North-West Standard, which was merged this season, and then achieved promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga Standard with first place in the promotion tournament.

In the 2011/2012 season, the team entered the 2nd Bundesliga with the choreography "Romeo & Juliet" and reached 3rd place. The withdrawal of the OTK Schwarz-Weiß 1922 A-team at the Siemensstadt Sport Club in July 2012 increased the Team subsequently entered the 1st Bundesliga Standard and competed again in the 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 seasons with the musical theme “Romeo & Juliet”. For the 2015/2016 season, the club withdrew the team from the 1st Bundesliga Standard.

The B-Team started in the 2015/2016 season with the musical theme "Believe!" In the Regionalliga Nord-West Standard and won it. In the subsequent promotion tournament to the 2nd Bundesliga Standard, the team took first place and was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. The team that danced again to the musical theme “Believe!” Finished the 2016/2017 season in 2nd place and made it to the 1st Bundesliga Standard. Here the team competed in the 2017/2018 season with the theme “The Rockphony”.

In the 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 seasons, the team will dance in the 2nd Bundesliga Standard to the musical theme of “Postmodern Jukebox”.

The coaches of the B-team are Christopher Linne, Lynn Jessen, Peter Hahne and Markus Zimmermann.

C team

Since the 2008/2009 season, the C-Team, founded at the beginning of 2008, has been playing for TSC Schwarz-Gold Göttingen in the Regionalliga Nord. The musical theme in the 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 seasons was “May I ask?”, Which is based on pieces from the soundtrack of the film of the same name .

At the beginning of the 2010/2011 season, the C-Team started in the Regionalliga North / West with the topic "Shrek" and took first place in the following year with the same topic, which qualified it for the promotion tournament to the 2nd Bundesliga, which the Team won and thus started in the 2. Bundesliga Standard in the 2012/2013 season. The musical theme was again "Shrek". With the eighth place the team could not keep the class and after the end of the season relegated back to the Regionalliga Nord.

In the 2015/2016 season the team competed in the combined North-West Standard regional league with the musical theme "Shall We Dance?" And in the 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 regional league North Standard with the musical theme "Shrek" on.

After a starting place for the 2018/2019 season became available in the 2nd Bundesliga, the team could have moved up to the 2nd Bundesliga as third-placed in the promotion tournament. However, the association returned the nomination for internal reasons. In the 2018/2019 season, the team danced again to the musical theme of "Shrek" in the Regionalliga Nord Standard, and in the 2019/2020 season to the musical theme of "Believe" in the new 2nd Bundesliga North Standard.

The trainers of the C-Team are Johanna Söllner and Martin Davong.

D team

In the 2011/2012 season the TSC youth team also started in the Regionalliga Nord. It was the only standard D team in Germany to compete in a league. The team consisting of dance students took seventh place in the league with a choreography on the subject of "Titanic".

The trainers of the D-Team were Kathrin Böning, Maike Plasberg and Markus Zimmermann.

Latin formations

The Latin A-Team of TSC Schwarz-Gold Göttingen was founded in May 2005.

  • 2009/2010 and 2010/2011: "Private Dancer" (promotion to the Oberliga North Latin)

  • 2014/2015: "Bond - a new mission" (relegation to the Oberliga North Latin)

After the 2014/2015 season, the formation was withdrawn from the league due to a lack of dancers.
