A year later, with 2nd place in the Oberliga Süd, he was promoted to the Regional League South Standard. In the first year, he was promoted from the Oberliga Süd to the Regionalliga Süd. The "red choreography" was danced until 1988, followed by the "yellow choreography". Both choreographies consisted of various popular titles of the time. The head coach from 1988 to 1995 was Susanne Herrmanns, supported by Jan Oechler (1990-2000).

The 1991/1992 season was the first in which the Latin formation danced a choreography on a musical theme, "The Jungle Book". With the choreography the promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga Latin succeeded.

In the 1992/1993 and 1993/1994 seasons the musical theme was "Beatles". The A-Team of the TSC Rot-Gold-Casino Nürnberg took 3rd place in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 1992/1993 season, then 2nd in the 1993/1994 season and thus rose to the 1st Latin Bundesliga on. In the following season, the A-Team was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga.

The team danced Latin in the 2nd Bundesliga for the following years:

  • 1995/1996 and 1996/1997 with the musical theme "Sister Act", 6th place and 5th place

In July 2012, however, TSG Bremerhaven withdrew their A-team from the 1st Bundesliga Latin. The A-Team of TSG Backnang from the 2nd Bundesliga moved up to the vacated starting position . The starting place that became available here should have been taken by the A-Team of TCH Oldenburg , which had placed 4th in the promotion tournament. Since TCH Oldenburg decided not to play in the 2nd Bundesliga Latin, the team from TSC Rot-Gold-Casino Nürnberg was able to remain in the league, but was relegated to the Regional League South Latin at the end of the 2012/2013 season. The relegation was followed in 2014 with the choreography "Let's get loud" and the immediate return to the 2nd Bundesliga with victory in the Regionalliga Süd Latin and 2nd place in the promotion tournament.
