The TSG Waldau (full name gymnastic and sporting community Waldau ) was a workers' sports club from Waldau , a former municipality in the district of Kassel , which a district of today Hessian city of Kassel is. The club's soccer team took part in the games and championship rounds of the ATSB in the Weimar Republic .

history

The association was founded in Waldau in 1910. He belonged to the ATSB regional association Free Game Association Kurhessen-Waldeck-Südhannover , whose clubs played in the 13th ATSB district.

In the 1919/20 season , TSG Waldau became champions of the 13th ATSB circuit. In the semifinals of the Northwest German Association Championship, the club beat TSVgg Unterbarmen 3-1 and in the northwest German final on May 23, 1920 in Bielefeld, the FT Hannover-Kleefeld 2-1. As a result, TSG Waldau qualified for the nationwide ATSB final round, but lost in the semifinals to TuS Süd Forst with 1: 5.

In the following season, the 1920/21 season , TSG Waldau was again champion of the 13th ATSB district and was able to defeat FTSV Ohligs 2-1 in the semi-finals of the Northwest German Association Championship. In the north-west German final on May 2, 1921, the Waldauer were defeated by FT Unterweser-Bremerhaven in Geestemünde 2: 6.

After the seizure of power of the Nazis , the club was banned in 1933 and dissolved.
