The grave TT222 ( T heban T omb - Theban grave number 222 ) is located in Thebes- West near the modern place Luxor in Egypt in the necropolis that is now called Qurnet Murrai . The tomb belongs to the high priest of the month in Thebes Hekamaatrenacht , also called Turo, who was born under Ramses III. and Ramses IV lived and officiated.

The burial chapel has the typical plan of a Theban burial chapel of the New Kingdom carved into the rock. In the southeast is the entrance, from which you get into a wide transverse hall. This is followed by an elongated chapel. From there you can also get to the underground burial chamber, which is also carved into the rock.

The grave has never been systematically examined. Only Nina de Garis Davies drew and published a scene from the burial chapel. This scene shows funeral celebrations taking place on an island. In the center of the depiction you can see two mummies, back to back, in front of each offering offerings and people performing rites on the mummies. On the left it is his son, the first priest of the month, Lord of Thebes, Panebmonth . Plants can be seen on the shore of the rectangular painted island. Two boats, water plants and fish are depicted in the water around the island.

Other scenes in the grave, which so far are only available in descriptions, show Ramses III. and dignitaries who pay him respects. There is a representation of another king whose name has not been preserved. One scene shows the owner of the grave in front of Ptah .

Nina de Garis Davies suspected that the tomb was originally laid out in the 18th Dynasty and that various scenes were later painted over.
