The grave TT249 ( T heban T omb - Theban grave number 249 ) is located in Thebes- West near the modern place Luxor in Egypt in the part of the necropolis that is now called Sheikh Abd el-Qurna . The grave complex belonged to the person responsible for sweets , Neferrenpet, who probably lived and officiated under Thutmose IV . He was also the palace clerk and cleaning priest .

The tomb has been known since at least 1913 and was visited by various Egyptologists in the years that followed.

Today only the tomb chapel carved into the rock and painted is known of the grave. It consists of a transverse hall and a small cult chapel. The wall paintings are not well preserved. Various scenes can be found, as they are typical for burial chapels of the 18th dynasty. On the north wall of the transverse hall, to the left of the door that leads to the inner cult chapel, you can see the grave owner in front of the underworld god Osiris . Below is the poorly preserved depiction of a funeral procession. On the same wall, to the right of the door, you can see a banquet scene, here twice Neferrenpet and his wife are shown receiving gifts. The scene is accompanied by musicians. In the innermost chapel you can see a painted stele on the back wall. To the right and left of it, couples are painted receiving offerings. Inscriptions are not received.
