The TTC Olympia Koblenz eV 1953 is a table tennis club from Koblenz . The women's team was one of the founding members of the table tennis Bundesliga .
The association was founded in 1953, and Lothar Reinmann was its head for many years. The women's team was the most successful. With second place in the Oberliga Südwest, won in the line-up of Irmtrud Schupp, Margret Mees, Hannelore Dillenberger, Doris Schmidt and Inge Strehlow, the team made it into the newly created table tennis Bundesliga in 1972/73. In 1974 she became German runner-up. She played in the Bundesliga until 1976, after which she had to relegate together with Oberalster VfW and several top performers left the club. In 1978 the club won again for the championship in the Oberliga Südwest , but the Koblenz women failed in the subsequent Bundesliga promotion round.
Today (October 2019) the club has 5 registered men's teams, a youth team and a team in the highest leisure class in the alternative game operation of the TTVR.
