TV Nova is a full program - private television in the Czech Republic , based in Prague . The first program aired on February 4, 1994. The first general director of the station was Vladimír Železný .

Conflicts

Conflicts arose between the license holders CET 21 and the Lauder group CME , which financed the start of the television channel. As a result of these disputes, the Czech state was sentenced to compensation of ten billion crowns to the CME.

Until September 1999, when the dispute with CME began, the station broadcast from Vladislavova Street in Prague, after which the headquarters were moved to the Barrandov film studios .
