The Central European Media Enterprises Ltd. (CME) is a listed holding company that offers television and radio stations in six European countries. The company was founded in 1994 by Ronald Lauder and is based in Bermuda .

The Ukrainian billionaire Ihor Kolomojskyj took a three percent stake in Central European Media Enterprises in 2008. Time Warner has held a 31% stake in Central European Media Enterprises since 2009 . For the share of Time Warner paid 241.5 million dollars . In 2011 Time Warner increased its stake to 34.4 percent. Time Warner thus achieved 47 percent of the voting rights . Central European Media Enterprises executed its put option on Time Warner on July 3, 2012. Time Warner's stake increased to 49.9 percent. In October 2019 it was announced that CME would be sold to the PPF Group .

The channels in Bulgaria are combined in the bTV Media Group .
