Tab at tabs

A tab (short for tabulator ) is a head start in register cards , index cards or folders in order to identify them and to find them more quickly in drawers .

The tabs are made of the same material as the card or folder and are punched out as a unit . They protrude about one to two centimeters over the maps or folders. So that the tabs are very similar to the riders and also fulfill the same function. In contrast to the tabs, the tabs can be freely set and are suitable for identifying temporary properties. The solid tabs, on the other hand, are suitable for permanent properties. Tabs are either pre-printed or they can be individually labeled. In addition to pre-made cards with tabs, cards with a full tab line are offered, which can be tailored to your own wishes.
