Tadashi Nakamura (martial artist)

Tadashi Nakamura ( Japanese 中 村 忠 , Nakamura Tadashi ; born February 22, 1942 in Maoka , Karafuto Prefecture ), is a Japanese martial arts expert (9th Dan).

He began in 1953 with the study of karate in the style of Kyōkushin under Kenji Kurosaki and Ōyama Masutatsu . In 1966 he successfully fought a 100-man fight (Hyakunin-kumite) and became chairman of the Kyōkushinkai organization in the USA.

Nakamura, exponent of Kobudō and founder of Seidō Karate, teaches today at Seidō-jūku in New York City, USA. His students include Nobuyuki Kishi (Japan), Renzie Ron Hanham (New Zealand) and William Oliver (USA). As Chairman Director, he heads the Word Seidô Karate Organization (WSKO), which he founded in 1976. As a specialist book author, he wrote Karate Technique and Spirit.
