Tadashi Ōtsuka

Tadashi Ōtsuka ( Japanese 大 束 忠 司 , Ōtsuka Tadashi ; born April 30, 1978 in Nagasaki ) is a badminton player from Japan .

Career

Ōtsuka competed in the 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics . In 2004 he was eliminated in the mixed with Shizuka Yamamoto in the first round. In doubles with Keita Masuda was after a bye in the opening round in round 2 the end of the line. In 2008 both made it to the quarterfinals and finished 5th. At the Badminton World Cup 2006 Ōtsuka and Masuda reached the second round .

Nationally both were successful in the Japanese badminton championship in doubles in 1998 and 1999 as well as 2003 and 2004. He won the mixed ranking with Shizuka Yamamoto from 2002 to 2004. In 2000 he won the Giraldilla International together with Keita Masuda .
