Bedspread

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bedspreads are used to cover beds during the day. They serve as decoration and room decorations, as they can be designed very differently depending on the fabric pattern or processing, possibly matching other decorations such as curtains . In small apartments in which the bed is in a room that is used for other purposes during the day, the bedspread does not make the bed catch the eye. It can also be used as a sofa during the day, covered with the bedspread .

From a hygienic point of view, however, the use of bedspreads is not recommended. By darkening the bedding and linens , growth is from dust mites favored since mites benefit from darkness. The air exchange and thus the drying of the bed is also hindered by the often heavy and dense bedspreads. In addition, many bedspreads cannot be washed in normal household washing machines due to their material or weight , so they themselves often also form a breeding ground for mites because experience has shown that cleaning in a specialist company is often not necessary due to the effort.
