Takeshi Matsuzaka

Takeshi Matsuzaka ( Japanese 松 阪 猛 Matsuzaka Takeshi ; born September 20, 1939 , † October 22, 2014 ) was a Japanese judoka . He won a bronze medal at the 1967 World Championships.

Athletic career

At the 1967 World Championships in Salt Lake City, the Dutchman Willem Ruska won the heavyweight division ahead of Nobuyuki Maejima from Japan . Behind them Takeshi Matsuzaka and Ansor Kiknadze from the Soviet Union received the two bronze medals.

In April 1968 Matsuzaka won the Japanese championships in the open class with a final victory over Isao Okano .
