Takumi Morikawa ( Japanese 森川 拓巳 , Morikawa Takumi ; born July 11, 1977 in Shizuoka Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Morikawa learned to play soccer on the school team at Shizuoka Gakuen High School . He signed his first contract with Kashiwa Reysol in 1996 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In April 1999 he was loaned to the second division side Kawasaki Frontale . In 1999 he was with the club master of the J2 League and rose to the J1 League. In 2000 he reached the final of the J.League Cup . For the club he completed 43 games. In 2001 he was loaned to the league competitor Consadole Sapporo . For the club, he completed 15 first division games. In 2002 he returned to Kashiwa Reysol. For the club he completed 28 first division games. In 2003 he moved to league rivals Vegalta Sendai . At the end of the 2003 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League. For the club he completed 71 games. In 2006 he moved to third division club Rosso Kumamoto . For the club he completed 35 games. At the end of 2007 he ended his career as a football player.
